WHO ARE WE?
At Remedial Science, we are proud to have a small team of highly qualified and experienced physical therapists who are dedicated to helping our patients achieve their optimal level of physical function and well-being.
Kate
Principal Therapist
Kate is a principal physical therapist specialising in myotherapy and co-founder of Remedial Science.
Kate has a medical background spanning over 30 years, having trained and worked in Australia, USA and Europe as a pharmacist and medical researcher, developing new medical treatments.
Kate always had an interest in sports medicine and exercise physiology, influenced by her own athletic pursuits in snow sports, cycling and trail running. Since working as a physical therapist, the importance of maintaining fitness, strength and mobility throughout life's stages has become more obvious.
Kate finds it highly rewarding to help people with painful conditions return to function and improve their quality of life. A key interest for Kate is providing education on how musculoskeletal imbalances can lead to painful conditions and injury, and how to restore balance.
As research is still a key interest, Kate is involved with clinical trials of various physical therapy modalities with a network of other healthcare specialists.

"I had been trying to have my tennis elbow fixed for the past few months, without success. Nothing seemed to work, or if it did, it didn’t last.
Then I met Kate and Stuart at Remedial Science. They confirmed I had tennis elbow, and fixed it!
I have not had any pain in over a month now, and can use my arm and hand fully again.
Wonderful care from two very skillful therapists. I highly recommend them!"
